Chris Burke

CHRIS BURKE has a wide range of securitisation and structured finance experience across multiple asset classes, with a particular focus on European collateralised loan obligation (CLO) deals.

Chris has represented a number of the largest CLO Managers in the European market. He has also assisted several U.S. managers with the set-up of their European CLO platforms, advising on structuring aspects, retention fund formation and the EU/UK regulatory framework, including the EU/UK risk retention and transparency regimes. Chris has also acted for a number of arranging banks prominent in the Euro CLO space.

Chris has an in-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape applicable to European and UK securitisations, including the Securitisation Regulation, MiFID 2, the Market Abuse Regulation, and parallel regimes applicable to UK investors post-Brexit.

In addition to CLOs, Chris regularly acts on asset-based fund finance transactions, receivables finance deals and esoteric securitisations.

Chris also has experience advising on derivatives transactions, including portfolio total return and loan-linked hedging.
