Louise Freund

LOUISE FREUND advises private equity sponsors, strategic investors, funds, corporations, and financial institutions on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions. Her practice focuses primarily on acquisition finance, leveraged buyouts, unitranche financings, syndicated lending, and corporate finance. Furthermore, Louise is experienced in international debt capital markets transactions and represents issuers, sponsors, and underwriters in the context of high-yield debt offerings.

As in the previous editions (2021 — 2024), Louise is currently ranked “Best Lawyer” by the 2025 edition of “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch” for Banking and Finance, Private Equity, and Restructuring Law.

• Kartesia in connection with the financing of the management buy-out of the German consultancy firm goetzpartners (now Fortlane Partners).
• Rivean Capital on the acquisition of Perbility GmbH.
• Rivean Capital's portfolio company, Green Mobility Holding, on the acquisition of A-DIGITAL one GmbH.
• Marlin Equity Partners on the acquisition of a majority stake in Treasury Intelligence Solutions GmbH.
• One Equity Partners and Buckthorn Partners on the financing of the acquisition of Acteon Group.
• Deutsche Bank on the financing of the acquisition of Suter Group by Heizkurier Group, a portfolio company of NORD Holding.
• Rivean Capital on the acquisition of Green Mobility Holding GmbH.
• Z Capital Partners Portfolio Company Techniks Tool Group on the financing of its Acquisition of The Eppinger Group.
• Water Street Healthcare Partners on its sale of Orgentec Group to Sebia S.A.
• Crayhill Capital Management on the US$300 million financing for unybrands, an integrated platform for e-commerce businesses.
• Gilde Buy Out Partners on the acquisition of TonerPartner Group.
• A leading French restaurant, catering, and food concepts business in connection with the refinancing of the existing debt of its fast food branch.
• A leading European hairdressing group in connection with its refinancing and the financing of acquisitions of several companies in the Netherlands and Spain.
• A leading global textile group in connection with the financing of its acquisition of a French fashion company in the accessible luxury sector (2016) and the subsequent initial public offering of the French company (2017).
• A private equity fund in a series of sale-leaseback transactions.
