Biography

LOUISE MCCARTHY coordinates the London office’s pro bono program, which focusses on tackling barriers to access to justice. Volunteers participate in several access to justice projects which aim to bridge the gap that is continually widening for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.

Louise was previously an associate in the London office’s dispute resolution team, during which time she oversaw the Welfare Benefits Appeals project alongside her litigation practice. In recognition of this work, Louise was awarded the prize for Best Contribution by an Individual at the 2021 LawWorks Pro Bono Awards.

Louise also completed a secondment to Airbus, during her time as a trainee, and later was seconded to the Chancery Division of the High Court as a judicial assistant.
