Biography

MORGAN MENDICINO focuses her practice on patent litigation.

Prior to joining Sidley, Morgan earned her J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. While in law school, she served as the associate managing editor for the SMU Law Review and as an academic success mentor. Morgan was also awarded membership as a Tsai Scholar and earned a place on the dean’s list. During law school, she served as a judicial extern for Chief Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Prior to law school, Morgan earned a B.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Morgan was named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America 2026 for Litigation - Intellectual Property, Litigation – Patent, and Patent Law.

Morgan assisted with the representation of:

  • GR Energy and its family of companies, including Wellmatics, a wireline tool designer and producer, in a lawsuit in the Southern District of Texas brought by Canatex Completions Solutions.
  • A leading global technology company in a patent infringement suit in the Western District of Texas involving cloud computing technologies.
  • STMicroelectronics in a patent infringement case in the Western District of Texas involving silicon carbide semiconductor technology.
  • A global medical device manufacturer in a patent infringement case in Delaware District Court involving infusion pump technology.
  • Ernst & Young LLP and Ernst & Young U.S. LLP (“EY”) in a significant IP (trade secret) suit brought by a data analytics and marketing research company, Motista, LLC.
  • A global medical device manufacturer in IP and antitrust litigation related to products addressing bunion deformities of the foot.
  • A leading gaming technology company in a patent and trade secrets case filed in the District of Nevada against a competing gaming supplier.
