RACHEL REIN focuses her practice on commercial litigation and disputes.
Before joining Sidley, Rachel served as a law clerk for Judge Diana Song Quiroga in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, an extern for Judge Benjamin J. Beaton in the Western District of Kentucky, and a Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) Fellow for the Human Trafficking Legal Center.
Rachel received highest honors from Columbia Law School as a James Kent Scholar, where she was managing submissions editor of the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law. During law school, she competed as a member of the Williams Moot Court and worked as an extern for the United States Attorney’s Office, District of New Jersey. Rachel gained additional experience as a research and teaching assistant for multiple professors. She also received the Parker School Certificate of Achievement for achievement in international and comparative law, awards for her contributions in public interest and service, and honors for superior achievement as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
In 2017, Rachel earned her B.A. with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in Psychology and Plan II Honors (an interdisciplinary honors program).
