Energy Markets Fuel New Legal Work, Attorney Growth in Sidley Austin’s Houston Office

Ten years ago, Sidley Austin LLP launched a Houston presence with a handful of attorneys. Today, it's among the largest energy law firms operating in the local market.
Chicago-based Sidley Austin's Houston office opened in February 2012 by hiring seven partners from various local firms to start a practice focused on energy. Through the end of April 2022, Sidley Austin had 81 lawyers operating in the Houston market.
