Sidley is representing Geotab, a global leader in connected vehicle and asset management solutions, in its acquisition of the commercial operations of Verizon Connect’s telematics business in Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, France, Portugal, Poland, the Netherlands, and Germany. This strategic acquisition, which does not include Verizon Connect’s product, engineering, and other non-sales focused teams, significantly expands Geotab’s global footprint, particularly within the crucial small to mid-sized fleet segment across key international markets.
The Sidley team is led by Chris Barbuto (M&A and Private Equity) and includes Victoria Richmond, Marcus Klie, Ufuk Erdal Genc, Tobias Bachmeier, Joe Camano, and Jason Nelson (M&A and Private Equity); Christian Brause, Ryan Kelly, and Corinna Linhardt (Tax); Eric Winwood, Peter McCorkell, and Alex Down (Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation); Sven De Knop and Alessandra Moroni (Global Arbitration, Trade and Advocacy); William RM Long and Lauren Cuyvers (Privacy and Cybersecurity); Maureen Crough (Environmental, Health and Safety); and Patrick Harrison and Flor Van Den Hende (Antitrust and Competition).
