Sidley is representing Clara Vista Partners in its investment in the UK-based Ipswich Town Football Club as a part of a new investor consortium, Portman Holdings LLC. Portman Holdings will become the majority shareholder of Gamechanger 20 Ltd, the parent company of Ipswich Town. Other investors in Portman Holdings include ORG Portfolio Management and the Three Lions Fund, both of whom are existing investors in Gamechanger 20. As part of the changes to the club’s ownership structure, Bob Gold, the managing partner of Clara Vista, will join the board of Gamechanger 20.
The cross-border Sidley team is being led by Daniel Belke, Mark Castiglia, and Adam Runcorn (M&A and Private Equity), and includes Dustin Page, Fran Gray, Daria Jepps, and Andrew Lecky (M&A and Private Equity), as well as Jason Menzies, Jonathan Westreich, and Ryan Power (Tax).
