BRAD CARNEY advises clients on incident response, cybersecurity-related investigations, and legal risks involving data security, including ransomware attacks, regulatory inquiries, and diligence in mergers and acquisitions. He counsels on privacy matters, focusing on transactional due diligence and regulatory compliance.
Brad supports clients through complex cybersecurity incidents, helping navigate legal and operational consequences. He works on cybersecurity and privacy matters across a range of industries, including telecommunications, critical infrastructure, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and government contracting.
Prior to joining Sidley, Brad served as a law clerk to the U.S. Senate Homeland Security Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Spending Oversight. He also completed a pro bono fellowship with the National Veterans Legal Services Program.
Prior to law school, Brad served as an Army Ranger in the U.S. Army.
