JIM HEYWORTH practices in the Securities and Shareholder Litigation group in the firm's New York office. Jim has extensive experience defending companies and directors and officers in securities class actions, shareholder derivative cases and litigation regarding mergers and acquisitions. He frequently represents public and private companies, investment banks, private equity and venture capital firms, boards of directors and individuals in a variety of actions in state and federal courts and in various arbitral forums. Jim also has experience representing clients in SEC, DOJ and FINRA investigations.
Jim’s work has gained him recognition. In 2020, he was was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Law360 in the Securities category.
