SASHA HONDAGNEU-MESSNER focuses his practice on privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory investigations involving data processing and protection, data breach response, privacy and information security program development and management, and compliance counseling. Sasha regularly assists in litigation, government investigations, and enforcement actions. He is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional/U.S.
Sasha regularly counsels clients in a wide range of transactional matters, including contract review, privacy and cybersecurity diligence, and integration planning for mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, Sasha has counseled digital asset trading platforms, blockchain technology companies, cryptocurrency funds, and other FinTech companies.
While attending Cornell Law School, Sasha served as a notes editor of the Cornell International Law Journal. Sasha also worked for Cornell University’s Compliance Office on matters related to privacy and insurance. Prior to joining Sidley, Sasha interned for the California Department of Justice’s Antitrust Section and the Future of Privacy Forum.
