IPO of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk Shortlisted as “Equity Market Deal of the Year” at the Asian Legal Business SE Asia Law Awards 2024

A Sidley matter, the IPO of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk, has been shortlisted in the “Equity Market Deal of the Year” category at the Asian Legal Business SE Asia Law Awards 2024. The annual SE Asia Law Awards, now in their 20th year, “honor outstanding achievements in the legal field, celebrating the exceptional performance of both private practitioners and in-house counsel across Southeast Asia and beyond.”

Sidley acted as international counsel to CLSA, DBS Bank, ING, and Jefferies, as international selling agents, and BNI Sekuritas, CLSA Sekuritas, DBS Vickers Sekuritas, and Mandiri Sekuritas, as joint lead managing underwriters, in connection with the Rp10.73 trillion (approximately US$710 million) IPO of equity shares of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (“AMI”). AMI is an Indonesian holding company that conducts exploration, development, mining, and processing operations in Indonesia through its operating subsidiaries and associates.

This marked Indonesia’s biggest IPO in 2023 and the largest Asian IPO outside of China in 2023 and showcases the firm’s long-standing market leadership for Indonesia capital markets.

The deal team was led by Matthew Sheridan and Alexius Chong and included Klara Thamrin and Daniel Ang, with assistance on tax matters by Nicholas Brown, Christian Barraza, and Patrick Gray.
