Sidley Represents DaVita in Its Expansion of International Operations in South America with Four Acquisitions

In a deal that reflects the strength of the firm’s global healthcare transactions capabilities, Sidley is representing DaVita Inc, a leading provider of kidney care services, in its agreement to expand its international operations in Brazil and Colombia and its entry into Chile and Ecuador. The deal involves four separate acquisitions from Fresenius Medical Care for a total purchase price of US$300 million. Upon the completion of all transactions, DaVita will have more than 270 clinics.
