ALLISON HOCEVAR advises investment advisers and financial institutions on the structuring, operation, and offering of private equity funds, hedge funds, credit funds, fund-of-funds, co-investment funds, single investor funds, and separately managed accounts.
Allison has considerable experience working with the firm’s insurance clients in connection with a wide range of reinsurance, sidecar, and other M&A transactions, including in negotiating investment management agreements and advising clients on regulatory issues related to such transactions.
Allison also represents institutional investors in connection with their investments in private funds.
Allison maintains an active pro bono practice, providing representation in immigration proceedings.
Prior to joining Sidley, Allison worked at another global law firm. She also previously served as a compliance associate for a multinational financial services company.
Allison graduated, cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, where she served as an editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. She also received her LL.M. in International and European Business Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain.
