Daniel Spies to Chair the “Key developments in GenAI and tech transformation” Workshop at IBA’s 23rd Annual International Conference on Private Investment Funds

Sidley Investment Funds partner Daniel Spies will chair the “Key developments in GenAI and tech transformation” workshop at IBA’s 23rd Annual International Conference on Private Investment Funds. Daniel will speak with Christy Brook, general counsel at Emerson Collective; Michael Hassan, managing director and general counsel at Sagard; Ed Pearson, partner at Walkers; Shawn Pelsinger, counsel at Palantir; and Emma Vertigen, managing director of partnerships at Ontra. Together, they will discuss how GPs, LPs, and law firms are currently leveraging technology; plans and predictions regarding the future use of newer technologies such as generative artificial intelligence (GenAI); and current thoughts on, and potential approaches to addressing, the security, ethical, and regulatory concerns raised by GenAI.
