SidleyGives

Community engagement is central to Sidley’s culture. It reflects who we are and what it means to work here, reminding us that our impact reaches far beyond the practice of law. Through SidleyGives, the firm’s social responsibility program, we are dedicated to supporting communities through local nonprofit partnerships. This program affords our lawyers and business professionals the opportunity to contribute their time and talent toward the public good, expanding the ways we support others and shaping how we choose to lead.

“Sidley has long been devoted to supporting our communities through forward-looking initiatives that reflect our shared dedication to fostering a culture of civic responsibility.”
– Yvette Ostolaza, Management Committee Chair

 SidleyGives in Action

  • Time: SidleyGives brings together lawyers and business professionals across our offices to devote their time to civic leadership, volunteering, and community-building initiatives that support the communities that we call home.
  • Talent: We pour our talent directly into our communities — applying our abilities toward community engagement and encouraging future generations to carry forward Sidley’s commitment to service.
  • Investment: Through the Sidley Austin Foundation, we provide resources that help advance opportunity and create lasting impact.

SidleyGives is a fundamental component of Sidley’s culture that drives our actions and decisions. By investing in our communities, we create a more equitable future for all.”
– Brian Fahrney, Executive Committee Chair

Partnerships That Drive Social Change

Each of our offices maintains longstanding local nonprofit partnerships, providing our people with a variety of ways to make an impact through volunteerism and leadership opportunities.

KABOOM! U.S. Playground Build Initiative

Inspired by the opportunity to support children and local communities, Sidley has partnered with nonprofit KABOOM! to donate and build new play spaces across the United States. Recent builds include new playgrounds in Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Houston, and San Francisco. Designed by the children themselves, these playgrounds reflect the creativity of young minds and help ensure that every child has a safe place to play regardless of background or where they live.
