On September 8, Sidley counsel Benjamin Nager will speak at the 2025 Fall Annual Meeting of The North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA). Ben will participate in a panel entitled “Joint Meeting Between NASAA and the ABA State Regulation of Securities Committee,” along with Vince Martinez of NASAA and Michael Jurasic representing the ABA. They will discuss significant rulemaking developments over the past several years and issues facing practitioners in the financial services industry.
NASAA represents state and provincial securities regulators in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The organization’s stated mission is to “protect investors from fraud and abuse; educate investors; support responsible capital formation; and help ensure the integrity and efficiency of financial markets.” This year’s Fall Annual Meeting includes panels that address three underlying topics: Global Cooperation to Protect Investors, the Future of AI in the Securities World, and Current Trends in Digital Assets.
