Sidley partners Yolanda C. Garcia and Jennifer Saulino have been named to Bloomberg Law’s inaugural 2025 “Unrivaled” list. The list “features trial lawyers who lead the legal profession in high-stakes and impactful trials and settlements.” Yolanda has been recognized for three recent trial victories, including as co-lead counsel to XRI Investment Holdings LLC in Gregory A. Holifield and GH Blue Holdings, LLC v. XRI Investment Holdings LLC, securing a full win on declaratory and injunctive relief, upheld that win at the Delaware Supreme Court, and in a second trial on remand, secured a total win on damages, and Jennifer for her role as winning lead trial counsel in numerous high-stakes cases on behalf of Bayer AG and its subsidiaries, most notably serving as lead trial counsel in Young v. Monsanto, securing a significant defense verdict.
Yolanda is co-leader of the firm’s Securities and Shareholder Litigation practice group and has most recently first-chaired and won 5 trials in 5 years, in addition to numerous wins on motions to dismiss and summary judgment. She is also co-chair of the firm’s Inclusion Committee, and she represents corporations, corporate officers, and directors in matters including national class actions, multi-jurisdictional cases, domestic and international arbitrations, securities cases, and internal investigations.
Jennifer is a global co-leader of Sidley’s Product Liability practice and a first chair trial lawyer. A fellow of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers, Jennifer combines her decades as a trial lawyer in large, complex, high-profile, document-intensive trials, together with her years as a criminal fraud prosecutor, to handle civil and criminal trial matters by mastering complex facts with an eye toward creating clear, direct, simple presentations to teach juries and judges and empower them to make the right decision based on understanding the facts and law while resisting emotion.
