Sidley Represents Lumen as Antitrust Counsel in Its US$5.75 Billion Sale of Consumer Fiber-to-the-Home Business to AT&T

Sidley represents Lumen Technologies, a global communications company providing network, cloud, and security services to businesses and organizations, as antitrust counsel in connection with its US$5.75 billion sale of its mass markets fiber-to-the-home business in 11 states to AT&T. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to necessary approvals and closing conditions, and represents another significant move in Lumen’s evolution into a top enterprise digital provider.
The Sidley team was led by Jim Lowe (Antitrust and Competition), and includes Jason Semmes and Miriam Carroll Silvestri (Antitrust and Competition).
