Sidley Represented Tracy McGrady in Acquisition and Relaunch of Legendary ABCD Basketball Camp

Sidley represented Basketball Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady in connection with his acquisition of a controlling interest in the iconic ABCD Basketball Camp, the premier high school basketball showcase founded by legendary sports marketing executive Sonny Vaccaro.

McGrady has acquired an 80% ownership stake in the ABCD Camp, with Vaccaro retaining the remaining ownership interest. The camp, which helped launch the careers of some of basketball’s biggest stars including Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Carmelo Anthony, and McGrady himself, will return this summer with Adidas serving as the lead sponsor. The revived camp will feature approximately 60 of the nation’s top boys and girls high school basketball players. The relaunch reflects a shared vision of restoring one of basketball’s most influential player development platforms for the next generation of elite talent.

The Sidley team was led by Axel Miranda and Dylan Sherwyn, and included Charles Baker and Landon Garfinkel.
