Sidley Represents NEON Rated and Its Founder Tom Quinn in Department M's Strategic Investment

Sidley represented NEON (the distributor behind two recent Best Picture Oscar winners, Anora and Parasite) and its founder Tom Quinn in connection with Department M’s nine figure investment in the company. This represents a transformative transaction for NEON as it continues its dominance in the independent film distribution sector. Sidley previously represented Tom Quinn in founding NEON, in its initial capital raise, its prior sale of a significant interest to 30 West, numerous financing transactions (including its corporate facility and various production and P&A facilities), and in all aspects of the Department M transaction.

The deal team was led by Matthew Thompson, and included Felipe Ruiz, Nicolette Gelnak, and Jonathan Westreich.
