SUSAN CHALFIN is counsel in the firm’s Global Finance practice. Her practice focuses on commercial real estate securitization and other real estate finance matters.
Susan represents investment banks, commercial banks, hedge funds, insurance companies, and other clients as lenders, loan sellers, issuers, underwriters, and investors in commercial real estate securitization and other commercial real estate finance transactions. Her experience includes commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) and other securitization transactions, mezzanine debt and other secured lending transactions, intercreditor arrangements and commercial mortgage loan origination, acquisition and servicing programs. She also has significant experience in other capital markets and derivatives transactions.
Susan received her B.A., cum laude, in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 1979. In 1983, she received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
