
Biography
RACHAEL COFFEY advises on a broad range of issues in banking law, with a particular focus on the infrastructure sector, structuring and documenting the debt, equity, and security arrangements involved in complex infrastructure finance transactions for both UK and international infrastructure funds, lenders, and noteholders across the full range of infrastructure financing products, including syndicated loans, multi-creditor platforms, and private placements in the European and U.S. markets.
Rachael has also advised PE sponsors, banks, and direct lenders on project finance and general acquisition finance transactions in Australia, including a secondment with a global financial services group.

- A leading infrastructure fund in its acquisition of Melita, a fully converged digital infrastructure owner and operator delivering broadband, mobile connectivity and data centre solutions across Malta.
- Lenders to a leading global mid-market infrastructure equity fund and a leading French high speed fibre provider.
- A European private equity firm on the common terms platform facility refinancing and subsequent additional debt for a UK leading operator of service operations vessels (SOVs) for the offshore wind sector.
- A global asset manager and a global operator of sustainable infrastructure on the refinancing of several UK airports.
- A leading investment bank on the common terms platform facility refinancing of a pan-European renewable energy business, one of the leading independent generators of renewable energy in Europe, and one of the largest non-utility onshore wind generators in Europe.
- Lenders to a Czech international investment group on the financing of its acquisition of an interest in a large mobile phone operator.
- A lender to a large infrastructure fund on its subordinated holdco facility to support an acquisition of a large energy group in the UK.
- A private equity and infrastructure company on a U.S. private placement for one of the UK’s largest and longest-established independent multi-utility companies, under a common terms platform.
- A global infrastructure manager on its U.S. PP common terms platform refinancing of a leading off-street car park operator in Iberia.
