Biography

JADEN CRAMER advises employers and senior executives on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. His practice spans multiple sectors, including transport, mining, logistics, financial services, and retail. Jaden is known for his commercial, solutions-focused approach and entrepreneurial mindset.

Prior to joining Sidley’s London office, Jaden practiced employment law at a leading South African law firm before relocating to London in 2022, where he joined a top-ranked employment practice.


Experience

Representative Matters

Recent experience includes advising:

  • A high-end hospitality and leisure businesses on complex workforce reorganizations, including the application of TUPE, redundancy, and employee consultation obligations.
  • The purchaser on the acquisition of a well-known international retail business out of administration, including on TUPE, workforce reorganization, office relocation, and large-scale redundancies.
  • On an internal investigation for a global commodities business. Coordinating teams in Spain, the UK, UAE, and the U.S.
  • On the sale of a division 2 football club (details confidential).
  • A multinational spirits retailer on a complex investigation into sexual harassment.
  • A senior partner on FCA and SMCR implications of an investigation report on drug and expense related misconduct.
  • Negotiated a £50 million exit for the founder of an ed-tech company.
  • A multinational listed mining company on an investigation into two of their mines involving a syndicate that misappropriated R260 million.
  • A multinational cosmetics company to oversee implementation of COVID-19 protocols, dealing with staff issues and strike action.
