ALEXIS FLOWERS focuses her practice on the structuring, operation, and offering of private investment funds, and advising institutional investors in connection with their investments in private funds, including secondary transactions. In addition, Alexis works with traditional and alternative investment advisers on regulatory compliance requirements, structures and programs, ongoing compliance monitoring, testing protocols, and the management and coordinating of regulatory reviews. She also advises registered funds on legal and regulatory compliance with securities laws.
Prior to joining Sidley, Alexis was a legal intern at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, where she gained experience conducting research on digital assets, swap dealers, and future market intermediaries.
While attending the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, Alexis served as the managing editor of the Journal of Law and Social Change. She also received the Wharton Certificate in Management.
