THOMAS KEARNEY advises asset and investment managers, private equity sponsors, investors, issuers, and other market participants on a broad range of structured, asset-based finance, and securitization transactions. His practice focuses on strategic partnerships between private equity sponsors or asset managers and loan originators, forward flow and portfolio sales, back leverage transactions, and rated note issuances involving a diverse range of traditional and alternative asset classes.

Thomas has extensive experience in complex financing transactions backed by consumer, student, small business, equipment, and commercial and residential mortgage-backed assets, and has also advised on credit risk transfers, collateralized loan obligations, and other structured finance products. Thomas’s practice frequently involves developing and executing innovative financing structures tailored to support his clients’ investment, funding, and risk-management strategies.
