
Biography
JASSEN (JASON) LU focuses his practice on securitization and structured finance, with an emphasis on commercial mortgage-backed securitization (CMBS). He regularly represents issuers, mortgage loan sellers, and underwriters in both SASB (single-loan) and conduit (multi-loan) CMBS transactions.
Prior to joining Sidley, Jassen was a summer judicial intern to the Honorable Marian Blank Horn of the United States Court of Federal Claims. Before attending law school, Jassen was also a project assistant in the Capital Markets group in Sidley's New York office.
While attending The George Washington University Law School, Jassen was a member of The George Washington Law Review. He earned his B.A. in politics and health: science, society, and policy, magna cum laude, from Brandeis University, where he served as a senior editor of the Brandeis University Law Journal.
Jassen is fluent in Mandarin.
