AARON MITCHELL is an associate in the Tax group in the firm's Houston office.
Aaron holds an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University, where he received the Alex E. Weinberg scholarship. Aaron earned his J.D. from Texas A&M University School of Law, where he was the note and comment editor for the Texas A&M Journal of Property Law and the president of Phi Delta Phi legal honor society. Aaron earned his B.S. in economics from Texas A&M University where he served as the speaker of the student senate and was awarded the Buck Wierus Spirit Award for outstanding contributions to student life.
Prior to joining Sidley, Aaron worked at another firm, where he handled various complex transaction matters, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and estate planning matters. Aaron also has experience as a judicial intern in the Eastern District of Texas and in private equity as a law clerk for TPG.
