Anthony J. Norris

ANTHONY NORRIS represents private equity sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, and their portfolio companies in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, restructurings, and general corporate matters. He has extensive experience with leveraged buyouts and minority investments, and frequently counsels clients on a variety of securities law, corporate governance, and strategic matters. In addition, Anthony has substantial experience with investments by sovereign wealth funds that are subject to review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

Anthony has been recognized for his work in M&A and private equity by IFLR1000 (2019-2020).

Prior to joining Sidley, Anthony was a partner at another global law firm.

• Represented Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe in its going private LBO of US Oncology, Inc. and the subsequent sale of US Oncology, Inc. to McKesson Corp.
• Represented Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe in its acquisition of Triple Point Technology.
• Represented Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe in its acquisition of TransFirst.
• Represented US Anesthesia Partners, a portfolio company of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, in the acquisition of over 30 anesthesia physician practices.
• Represented US Radiology Specialists, a portfolio company of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, in 8 add-on acquisitions, including radiology physician practices and outpatient imaging center companies.
• Represented US Acute Care Solutions, a former portfolio company of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, in its acquisition of 9 ED physician practices.
• Represented Long Point Capital in its acquisition of Clough, Harbour and Associates, a professional engineering consulting firm.
• Represented Long Point Capital in its sale of Cumming Group, national professional services firm specializing in the non-residential construction industry.
• Represented Woolpert, Inc., a company specializing in design, geospatial and infrastructure management, in its acquisitions of Jviation, Inc., Data Cloud Solutions, Geomatics Data Solutions, Waller, Todd & Sadler, and Civiltech, Inc.
