
Biography
ELI SHINDELMAN is a leading structured finance lawyer who handles a broad range of structured finance matters, with a particular focus on complex real estate capital markets transactions, including public and private commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), commercial mezzanine loan securitizations, single-family rental (SFR) transactions, CRE CLOs, and A/B (senior/subordinate), and mezzanine loan structures.
Eli regularly represents issuers — including first-time issuers — underwriters, sponsors, and loan sellers in connection with the financing and securitization backed by commercial mortgage loans across all major property types, including data centers, office, retail, multifamily, hospitality, industrial, and mixed-use assets.
Eli also advises clients on securities law and regulatory issues affecting structured finance transactions, including Regulation AB, Regulation AB II, and U.S. credit risk retention requirements.
