JESSICA WOOD is a partner in the firm’s New York office, where she focuses her practice on corporate and securities matters, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate governance, capital markets and shareholder activism. Jessica is an active member of Sidley’s shareholder activism practice, advising public companies on shareholder activism campaigns, hostile takeover and other unsolicited bids, corporate governance and strategic investor relations.
Prior to joining Sidley, Jessica was an associate at another major law firm, where she focused on M&A, capital markets and shareholder activism.
Jessica received her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she was an articles editor for the Emory Law Journal. She also holds an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and a B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
