Biography

ELISE ZAPPIA focuses her practice on complex corporate and transactional matters. She represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and general corporate matters.

Elise participated in Sidley’s Pro Bono Fellowship Program with LA28, where she worked with the commercial sponsorship team on transactional matters related to the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.

While in business school, she served as president of the Wharton Sports Business Club and spent two years as the livestream commentator for the Wharton Boxing Club’s Penn Fight Night. During law school, she served as symposium chair for the Entertainment and Sports Law Society’s 10th Annual Symposium, and she advised on name, image, and likeness (NIL) matters through a pro bono project with the UCLA Athletics Compliance Department. Prior to her legal career, Elise competed professionally in beach volleyball.
