| Project Description | WeFarm is a social enterprise which provides free peer-to-peer service that enables farmers to share and access information via SMS, without the internet and without having to leave their farm. The company’s knowledge sharing platform allows farmers to ask vital agricultural questions and receive crowd-sourced answers from other farmers around the world in minutes. By providing farmers access to information, smallholder farmers can learn best farming practices, how to improve crop yields, how to start a micro-business and many more, enabling them to increase household income. WeFarm plans to deliver social impact on an unprecedented scale and reach 1 million farmers in the next 12 months. They currently provide services to smallholder farmers in Kenya, Uganda and Peru.
