Sidley Represents Placement Agent in US$640 Million ABS Securitization for Maverick Natural Resources

Sidley represented J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, co-lead structuring advisor, placement agent, and secured hedge provider, in a US$640 million private offering of notes in an asset-backed securitization issued by Maverick Natural Resources, LLC (“Maverick”). The notes were issued in three tranches and are secured by Maverick’s Western Anadarko Basin producing wells. Maverick specializes in the management of mature upstream assets through the application of automation and data-science technology and is majority-owned by EIG Partners.

The Sidley team was led by Brian Minyard and Daniel Allison (both Energy and Infrastructure), and Azad Assadipour (Investment Funds), and included Alice Sarvi (Investment Funds), Andy Chen, Evan Grosch, Di Duan, and Walter Deere (all Energy and Infrastructure).
