Sidley represented Ørsted in its divestment of a 50% equity stake in three U.S. onshore projects to Energy Capital Partners for US$572 million. The assets included two solar farms in Texas, Mockingbird Solar Center (468 MW) and Sparta Solar (250 MW), and Eleven Mile Solar Center, a 300 MW solar and 300 MW/1,200 MWh battery storage project in Arizona.
The team advising on the sale was led by Andrea Lucan, and included Curtis Hart, Divya Rao, John David Thompson, Juan Camarena Paz, and Charlie Peskin (all Energy and Infrastructure). Sidley also previously handled the tax equity placement for the Mockingbird project, which was handled by Christopher Hutchison, with assistance from Divya Rao, Marcela Varela, and Annaliese Oliveira (all Energy and Infrastructure).
