Sidley Represents Tiptree Inc. in Its Acquisition of Universal Shield Insurance Group

Sidley is representing Tiptree Inc. (NASDAQ: TIPT) in its acquisition of Universal Shield Insurance Group, a specialty property and casualty insurer. The transaction advances Tiptree’s strategy of expanding its specialty property and casualty insurance business by combining the two platforms to create value through organic growth and acquisition opportunities.

The Sidley team is being led by Michael Devins (Insurance) and includes Tu Tu and Lucas Grisham (Insurance); Eric Wolf and Ryan McLeod (Employee Benefits); and Peter Edgerton and Marisa Gonzalez-Mabbutt (Tax).
