
Biography
Azeem has extensive experience advising sponsors, investment manager, originators, arrangers and investors on a wide range of securitisation, structured finance and asset-backed finance transactions involving a diverse range of asset classes (including auto and vehicle rental receivables, residential and commercial mortgage loans, trade and consumer receivables, ground leases, broadly syndicated and direct lending loans) which encompass various public, private and esoteric financing structures.
Azeem has particular expertise in collateralised loan obligation transactions (CLOs) and CLO captive equity funds as well as the related UK/EU regulatory framework.
In addition to his transactional work in structured finance, Azeem also has experience advising on derivatives transactions, including ISDA master agreements, portfolio TRS financings and credit default swaps.
As in the previous edition (2025), Azeem is recommended for Securitisation in Legal 500 UK 2026.
Azeem spent six months on secondment to an international investment bank, supporting their European leveraged loans desk.
