The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has renewed its partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the DOJ-HHS False Claims Act Working Group, signaling a continued and more coordinated approach to combating health care fraud. The group’s enforcement priorities include areas such as Medicare Advantage, drug and device pricing, kickbacks, barriers to patient access, and manipulation of electronic health records, as well as new targets like DEI programs and gender transition care.
