DOJ Announces Renewal of FCA Working Group
October 2025
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has renewed its partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the DOJ-HHS False Claims Act Working Group, signaling a continued and more coordinated approach to combating health care fraud. The group’s enforcement priorities include areas such as Medicare Advantage, drug and device pricing, kickbacks, barriers to patient access, and manipulation of electronic health records, as well as new targets like DEI programs and gender transition care. The DOJ plans to use enhanced data analytics and interagency cooperation to identify new cases and expedite ongoing investigations, indicating an expected increase in data-driven False Claims Act enforcement actions.
