Sidley Trio Honored at Women in Business Law EMEA Awards 2024

Three Sidley lawyers received practice area accolades at the Women in Business Law EMEA Awards 2024. Francesca Blythe was awarded “Privacy & Data Protection Lawyer of the Year,” Anne Robert won the “Antitrust & Competition Lawyer of the Year” award, and Rachpal Thind was named “Financial Regulation Lawyer of the Year.” The annual Women in Business Law EMEA Awards celebrate women lawyers who have developed strong and innovative practices.
Francesca advises international clients on a wide range of data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, and emerging technology issues. She has in-depth experience across multiple industries, including asset management and private equity, payments, technology, retail, e-commerce, and manufacturing. Francesca has a particular focus on life sciences, where she advises on a broad range of issues in relation to clinical studies/investigations, secondary research, digital health, and use of novel technologies (including artificial intelligence). Francesca co-leads Sidley’s benchmarking group for in-house data privacy professionals (dplegal) in the life sciences sector.
Anne has extensive experience advising multinational clients on EU antitrust/competition, regulatory, and policy matters, with a particular focus on the life sciences sector. She provides strategic counsel to companies in the context of complex cartel and abuse of dominance investigations before the European Commission and national competition authorities. She frequently represents clients in high-stakes litigation proceedings before the EU Courts
Rachpal’s clients turn to her for advice on complex UK and EU regulatory and compliance matters, in particular those relating to cross-border issues. She has particular experience in advising global financial institutions on the regulatory aspects of structured finance and capital market transactions as well as on anti-money laundering and financial sanctions compliance matters. When clients interact with regulatory agencies, Rachpal provides technical and strategic support on regulatory investigations and breaches.
