Dr. Ufuk Erdal Genc

DR. UFUK ERDAL GENC advises domestic and international clients on a broad range of German and cross-border corporate and business law matters, with a particular focus on private equity and venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets.

Ufuk regularly advises private equity sponsors, institutional investors, and corporate clients on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions, including inbound and outbound investments and portfolio transactions across a variety of industries. His practice encompasses the full range of transactional work, including buyouts, growth and minority investments, joint ventures, and corporate reorganizations, as well as advising on general corporate and governance matters.

Ufuk is experienced in coordinating multi-jurisdictional deal teams and guiding clients through all stages of the investment cycle, from structuring and due diligence to negotiation, execution, and exit. He also advises on shareholder agreements, ongoing portfolio management, and capital market compliance for listed and private companies. Ufuk frequently acts on cross-border mandates involving multiple jurisdictions and legal systems. His multilingual capabilities enable him to support clients seamlessly across markets and facilitate effective communication in complex global transactions.

Ufuk earned his law degree and doctorate (Ph.D.) from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. During his legal education and clerkship, he gained experience with leading international law firms in Düsseldorf and Munich and served with the German Embassy in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He also participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court.
