KRISTINA GLIKLAD focuses her practice on complex litigation and antitrust matters. She represents and advises large and small companies in a variety of high-stakes commercial and class action litigation matters, including in antitrust, contract, securities, and cybersecurity matters. A significant focus of Kristina’s practice involves representing clients in antitrust and competition-related matters across a broad range of industries and related to financial services, payment systems, algorithmic pricing, and artificial intelligence. A client in the 2026 edition of Legal 500 USA praised Kristina's client service, saying:

Kristina received her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, where she served as the managing editor of the Washington University Law Review and teaching assistant for antitrust law courses. While at WashU, Kristina externed with the Antitrust Bureau at the New York State Office of the Attorney General, assisting with the investigation leading up to State of New York et al. v. Deutsche Telekom AG et al. (T-Mobile/Sprint Merger). In 2019, Kristina received the NYSBA “Antitrust Law Section: Student Writing Competition” award. Kristina received her B.A. in economics and Russian/French literature from Columbia University, where she served as a teaching assistant for Advanced Trial Advocacy summer courses.

Prior to joining Sidley, Kristina clerked for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Kristina is fluent in English, French, and Russian.

Commercial Disputes

  • Defense of a major payment card issuer in consolidated antitrust actions brought by putative class of all U.S. merchants, as well as significant opt-out actions by large merchant plaintiffs (In re Payment Card Interchange Fee and Merchant Discount Antitrust Litigation (E.D.N.Y.)).
  • Defense of residential real estate company in consolidated antitrust class actions related to algorithmic revenue management software (In re RealPage Rental Software Antitrust Litigation (M.D. Tenn.)).
  • Defense of major technology company in cross-border antitrust actions.
  • Represented a global animal health company in international commercial arbitration.
  • Engaged in pre-litigation efforts designed to gain advantage in contract negotiations.

Investigations

  • Department of Justice and State Attorney General investigations into alleged antitrust violations.
  • Internal investigation for special committee of debtor client in connection with certain reporting and operational matters.
  • A leading automotive distributor in an investigation by an antitrust authority in the Middle East.

Advisory and Regulatory Work

  • Antitrust issues arising from ESG and DEI related conduct.
  • Merger review counseling and advocacy before U.S. antitrust agencies related to health insurance and wholesale grocery industries.
  • Antitrust counseling on pricing and other business practices and/or policies, including in rental property management, sports conference, aviation, and chemical manufacturing industries.
  • Counseling on competition risks associated with patent assertion and aggregation.
