ANNA KUBINSKA advises on a wide range of EU and UK competition law issues, including merger control, abuse of dominance, cartels, and compliance. Her experience includes advising on merger control investigations in front of the CMA and handling multi-jurisdictional merger control filings.

Anna trained and qualified as a solicitor in Sidley’s London office, where she also gained experience in the firm’s M&A and Private Equity and Life Sciences practices. During her training contract, Anna has also spent time on secondment at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

Recent experience includes advising:

  • TowerBrook Capital Partners on its 2025 sale of French-headquartered railway sleeper (or “tie”) manufacturer Sateba to railway infrastructure group Vossloh, a deal that was cleared subject to behavioral conditions at Phase I in France, and cleared unconditionally at Phase I in eight other European jurisdictions, notwithstanding active opposition from a third- party complainant.
  • Woodward, Inc. (Nasdaq: WWD) in its acquisition of the North American electromechanical actuation business of Safran S.A., a French publicly traded company, a remedy divestiture arising out of Safran’s acquisition of Collins Aerospace’s actuation and flight control business from RTX Corporation (NYSE: RTX).
  • Leading medical imaging and diagnostics player GE Healthcare on:
    • its 2026 US$2.3 billion acquisition of Intelerad, a leading medical imaging software provider, which required antitrust approvals in the U.S., Canada, and Australia; and
    • its 2024 £40.5 million acquisition of Intelligent Ultrasound Limited, a UK-based artificial intelligence company operating in the medical devices sector.
  • Leading medical device manufacturer Stryker Corporation on its 2023 US$500 million purchase of Cerus Endovascular, which required antitrust approvals in the U.S., the UK, Germany, and Austria.
  • HARMAN International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., on its carve-out acquisition of Masimo Corporation’s Sound United consumer audio business.
  • Marathon Asset Management in its up to US$1.6 billion (US$1.2 billion in upfront consideration and up to US$400 million in contingent deferred consideration) sale to CVC, one of the world’s leading private markets investment firms.
  • Fortidia in its strategic partnership with BC Partners.
