ED PERRY advises on a range of corporate matters, with a particular focus on private and public M&A transactions, and consortium and joint venture arrangements. This breadth of experience has enabled him to deliver strategically significant deals for clients across various different investment structures.

Ed works with a wide variety of clients, but has particular experience advising on transactions in highly regulated industries, with a strong focus on insurance and financial institutions, as well as the life sciences and healthcare sectors.

As in the previous edition (2023), Ed is recommended for M&A: Upper Mid-Market and Premium Deals by The Legal 500 UK 2024.

• Fortidia in its strategic partnership with BC Partners.
• Bixby Wealth Solutions, an arm of Moontower Group, in its investment in James Hambro & Partners (“JH&P”), a UK wealth management business.
• GE HealthCare in its US$2.3 billion acquisition of Intelerad, a leading medical imaging software company specializing in medical imaging and enterprise workflow solutions.
• ABM, a provider of comprehensive industrial facilities, infrastructure, engineering, and mobility solutions, in its US$275 million acquisition of WGNSTAR, a provider of integrated workforce solutions and equipment support services for the semiconductor and other high-technology industries.
• Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in the acquisition of AssuredPartners from GTCR for gross consideration of US$13.45 billion.
• Novo Holdings on its £50 million investment in Oxford Nanopore Technologies.
• HeadFirst Global on its recommended offer to acquire AIM-listed Impellam Group for approx. £483.2 million.
• Funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. on a takeover bid for 100% of the shares of Applus Services, holding company of the Applus industrial testing group, for approximately €1.38 billion.
• Bank of Cyprus Holdings plc on its response to unsolicited takeover proposals submitted by an affiliate of a fund advised by Lone Star.
• Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., a global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm, in its acquisition of the treaty reinsurance brokerage operations of Willis Towers Watson for US$3.25 billion.
• PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk on the takeover offer by a wholly owned subsidiary for Ophir Energy plc.
• Westfield Specialty in respect of its agreement, subject to receipt of applicable regulatory approvals and the satisfaction of certain other conditions, to purchase of Argo Underwriting Agency Limited and its subsidiaries (including their participation in and right to manage Lloyd's of London Syndicate 1200) from Argo Group for approximately $125 million.
• Arvelle Therapeutics, a Swiss-based biopharmaceutical company, on its sale to Angelini Pharma for a total cash consideration of up to US$960 million.
• KKR on the creation of a pan-European logistics development platform.
• The underwriters on the US$1 billion SEC-registered offering by Spanish issuer Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria.
