On April 30, 2025, Sidley partners Andrea Lucan and Peter Whitfield will be speaking at the Doon Insights Power Surge Workshop, along with industry leaders, investors, technologists, and innovators, to explore one of the most pressing challenges of our time: meeting the surging demand for energy in a scalable and sustainable way.
At the workshop, Andrea will take part in a discussion panel on the primary drivers of demand growth, titled “Data Center and AI Demand: Building, Financing, and Operating Data Centers.” Peter will take part in a panel discussion on impacts of the current administration’s energy policy, titled “Policy Conversation: How the New Administration's Energy Policy will Unleash the Development of AI, Industrial Electrification, and Power Generation to Sustain Economic Growth.”
As data centers, electrification, crypto mining, and other emerging energy-intensive applications create an unprecedented spike in demand, the energy sector is facing a pivotal moment.
