AB 1200: New PFAS Law and Its Imminent Impact on the Food Industry

California has a new PFAS law that affects businesses involved in the sale of food packaging and cookware, including restaurants. In this article, Maureen Gorsen and Jagdeep Singh outline the implications of this law for manufacturers, restaurants, and retailers. All California restaurants must comply with the food packaging requirements by January 1, 2023 and with the cookware requirements by January 1, 2024.
