And Now A Word From The Panel: MDL Year In Review
January 28, 2026
This article is part of a bimonthly column that “rides the circuit” with the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) as it convenes at venues across the country. In this installment, the panel heads west for its January hearing session in San Diego, marking a California stop ahead of next month’s Pro Bowl and Super Bowl games. The visit departs from the panel’s customary Florida location for its opening session of the year. At the January hearing, the JPML will consider five new MDL petitions, a modest decrease from the eight petitions addressed during its December session in Austin, Texas.
