Paul Choi Named to Ascend Foundation’s 2023 A-List for Contributions to Pan-Asian Community

Sidley partner Paul Choi was named to Ascend Foundation’s 2023 A-List for his contributions to the Pan-Asian community. The A-List recognition highlights the power of resilient, impactful, and courageous leadership. The honorees, who represent a cross section of Asian ethnicities, are selected for their professional accomplishments and advancement of others in their industries or communities. These leaders will be recognized and celebrated during the Ascend A-List Awards Gala on April 3rd at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Paul Choi is the global co-leader of Sidley’s mergers and acquisitions practice and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and corporate governance matters. In the mergers and acquisitions area, he focuses on public and private mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, spinoffs, and joint ventures. His practice also includes counseling clients on takeover defense and proxy contests. Paul is included in the Corporate/M&A section of Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business - The Client’s Guide and Chambers USA: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business - The Client’s Guide in Illinois. He has been recognized in The International Who’s Who Legal: Mergers & Acquisitions. Paul serves as President of the Board of Overseers of Harvard University, one of the University’s two governing boards. He is the former President of Harvard’s alumni association.
