Sidley Wins a Trio of Awards at the 2026 Benchmark Litigation US Awards
Benchmark Litigation has awarded Sidley a trio of wins at the 2026 Benchmark Litigation US Awards. Jennifer Saulino was honored as the “Product Liability Litigator of the Year.” This follows her recognition as last year’s “Trial Lawyer of the Year.” Siegel v. Novo Nordisk, in which a Sidley trial team led by Jennifer along with Global Life Sciences Partner Jaime Jones achieved a first-ever full defense verdict for a pharmaceutical client in a False Claims Act case, was recognized with an “Impact Case Award.” Additionally, Gregory M. Williams won in the “International Arbitration Litigator of the Year” category. Significantly, this is Greg’s third win in this area, having previously been recognized in 2025 and 2023.
Jennifer is a global co-leader of Sidley’s Product Liability practice and a first-chair trial lawyer. A fellow of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers, Jennifer combines her decades as a trial lawyer in large, complex, high-profile, document-intensive trials, together with her years as a criminal fraud prosecutor, to handle civil and criminal trial matters by mastering complex facts with an eye toward creating clear, direct, simple presentations to teach juries and judges and empower them to make the right decision based on understanding the facts and law while resisting emotion.
Greg is a co-leader of the firm’s Global Arbitration, Trade and Advocacy practice. His practice focuses on complex commercial arbitration and litigation and investor-state arbitration. His diverse experience includes serving as lead counsel in high-stakes disputes involving a wide range of claims cutting across several industries, including construction, energy, aerospace, defense and government contracts, mining, shipping, infrastructure, life sciences, technology, crypto, financial services, and more.
Sidley’s multi-disciplinary False Claims Act, healthcare, and trial litigation teams worked on the Siegel case for nearly a decade before obtaining the full defense verdict in November 2025. In addition to Jennifer and Jaime, the winning team included Mark Guerrera, Jaime Simon, Matt Bergs, Joe LoCascio, Elizabeth Ertle, Meredith Jalali, Joe McNally, Naomi Igra, and Tyler VanderMolen.
Each year, Benchmark Litigation recognizes “the most impactful cases, the lawyers and law firms behind them, and the litigators who have paved the way.”
