EDUARDO CAVALIERI earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a member of the Columbia Mediation Clinic, receiving the Carol B. Liebman Mediation Prize in 2025.
Eduardo began his career at a leading Brazilian law firm as a legal intern in the M&A group. He earned his LL.B from PUCRS (Brazil) in 2015, and an LL.M in International Sports Law from ISDE (Spain) in 2016. While in Spain, Eduardo worked at a prominent law firm in international sports arbitration, representing clients before FIFA tribunals and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). After returning to Brazil, he practiced as an associate on corporate and sports matters, advising clients on transactions and litigation. Before joining Sidley, Eduardo was a summer associate at Blackstone.
Eduardo is a native Portuguese speaker and fluent in Spanish.
